Joao - business has finally started

Well, then. One through the door. Most Fulham fans had earmarked a signing before 1 July, so while the 4th doesn't feel like a disaster, I'm sure we'll all want a few more through the door pronto.

That said, welcome to Portuguese international midfielder Joao Palhinha, who joins the Whites on a five-year deal. It's certainly a statement of intent from boss Marco Silva, who's clearly keen for us to be a bit more robust in middle of the park this time around.

Meanwhile, the Manor Solomon chronicles rumble on, with no end in sight, but there's certainly no shortage of rumours surrounding Motspur Park. Who'll be next to join the champions?

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has been linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Fulham this summer.

The manager has told the club's hierarchy of his frustrations given Fulham have not yet signed a player this summer.

Fulham have paid £17.2m for the defensive midfielder - a hefty fee but one that could represent excellent value for the newly promoted club.

Charlton Athletic are confident in securing full-back Steven Sessegnon on a season long loan from London rivals Fulham.
