Fulham Transfer Rumour Round-Up: Summer 2022, Edition 4
Written by Cameron Ramsey on 29th June 2022
In our fourth round-up of the window, Cam has a fresh batch of tabloid hearsay to sample and savour.
We’re (surely) edging ever closer to announcing a series of signings, and the anticipation is a killer. From established Portuguese internationals to Israeli livewires, the Whites have journeyed far and wide to identify their must-have purchases and while pens are primed, our collective patience is running thinner by the day.
Each transfer rumour edition regurgitates what’s been shared and revealed on social media; most of the players within this article will be recognisable to the masses, but some may come as a surprise, and that’s the objective. Dud sources, bogus links to verified leaks, they all build intrigue and that’s what refreshing Twitter feeds and examining news forums is all about. Put that thumb of yours to work.
Marko Grujic – FC Porto

Portuguese publication Record reports that the Whites have pledged a £15.4m offer to the Primeira Liga champions, however it’s thought they will demand a weightier sum.
Grujic, 26, only featured 16 times for Klopp’s side between 2016 and 2021, but in Portugal, he has thrived. Multiple loan spells had staggered Grujic’s career path but with momentum behind him, his career has gone from strength to strength. Could a move back to the Premier League with Fulham be on the cards?
Musa Barrow – Bologna FC 1909
Spilled by our very own Isabelle Barker, The Sun suggests that Fulham are pushing hard for Bologna’s searing winger Musa Barrow. Barrow joined his current club two years ago from fellow Serie A side Atalanta, and after a bountiful return last season (6 goals and 7 assists in 35 outings), the Whites will have to shell out around £16m to capture his signature.
A Gambia international that’s hot-footed on the flanks, Barrow would certainly amplify Fulham’s effectiveness on the break and given that he’s only 23, the opportunity to progress even further in the Premier League could be a tempting determiner.
Luca Pellegrini – Juventus

The 23-year-old was used sporadically last term by Massimiliano Allegri and is apparently angling for the exit door at Allianz Stadium.
The wantaway fullback is contracted at Juve until 2025 and if the Italian is to head for pastures new, the Serie A giants will hope to receive between €10-15m. Pellegrini made 15 starts for the Old Lady last season, as his side finished 4th in the Italian top-flight standings.
Jamaal Lascelles – Newcastle United
Newly-promoted duo Fulham and Nottingham Forest will supposedly spar it out for Newcastle United’s Jamaal Lascelles, as per Chronicle Live. A mainstay at the Toon since 2015, Lascelles has racked up 152 Premier League appearances and is regarded as a no-nonsense centre-half, designed for the rigours of top-flight football.
A major shake-up is underway at St. James’ Park this summer and the 29-year-old could be on his way out. Lascelles was incidentally on Forest’s books before he ventured to the North East, so the strapping defender is more than familiar with the City Ground and the club’s core expectations. Noises surrounding this particular link have become stagnant of late but if he is available, even though he’s at the back end of his 20s, Fulham should engage themselves in negotiations at all sensible costs.
Kevin Mbabu – Wolfsburg
As disclosed by Sky Sports, Fulham have pinpointed Wolfsburg’s Kevin Mbabu as a prime transfer target, and it’s also thought the Switzerland international right-back is willing to make a return to the Premier League.
Once of Newcastle United, Mbabu, 27, featured 31 times for Die Wolfe during the 2021-22 campaign and he only has one year remaining on his current contract. Various reports citing Sky Sports have revealed that the Whites have submitted at bid worth €10m for Mbabu and if the fresh gossip is to be taken seriously, Silva could be set to land a very cost-effective addition.
Andreas Pereira – Manchester United
Embed from Getty ImagesErik Ten Hag is yet to have decided upon Andreas Pereira’s future at Manchester United and Extra, a Brazilian outlet, are under the impression that both Fulham and Crystal Palace are monitoring the attacking midfielder’s status at Old Trafford.
Pereira was loaned out to Flamengo and during his stint at the Brazilian side, the Belgian-born 26-year-old netted six goals is 49 appearances.
Opinions are split, some are adamant of Pereira’s worth whereas others are dubious but, with a £11.25m price tag pinned on the Red Devils man, Andreas could become the steal of the summer if he hits the ground running, as we’ve all seen flashes of his infrequent brilliance.
Gustavo Hamer – Coventry City
According to The Sun, Fulham have supposedly triggered talks with Coventry City for the Sky Blues’ productive midfielder Gustavo Hamer. A bid has apparently been put forward by the Whites for the Dutchman, who impressed on both occasions where his club defeated Fulham by multiple goals last season in the Championship.
Since joining Coventry from Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle in 2020, Hamer has registered 8 goals and 13 assists in 85 outings, although his presence of mind and intelligence both on and off the ball shouts louder than his seemingly ordinary return.
The 25-year-old’s a handful with a wicked right foot, and as the Whites require depth in the midfield department in order to compete competently next season, Hamer would certainly be a fantastic newcomer to the fold.
Moise Kean – Everton
It has come to renowned Italian publication Corrieire dello Sport‘s attention – via Sky Sports UK – that supposed Fulham and Nottingham Forest target Moise Kean is not willing to entertain offers from the Premier League new boys, as he is awaiting further proposals to emerge from other European suitors.
Kean, of Everton, was shipped out to Juventus on a temporary basis last summer but endured a torrid campaign for the Bianconeri.
The 22-year-old netted a meagre 5 Serie A goals and even if the Whites were remotely interested, it’d be a tough ask for the Italian to dislodge Aleksandar Mitrovic from his starting berth and in reality, it’s unlikely that Kean would want to play second fiddle in SW6 anyway.
