Podcast: Screamers, Shammers, Hammers

12th September 2024

The Thursday Club reconvenes as club football returns, with Sammy and Jack talking about the performances of our International Whites – including a screamer from Harry Wilson for Wales, Fulham vs Fulham as Joachim’s Denmark beat Sasa’s Serbia, and Josh King captaining the England U19s.

We also discuss the Deadline Day activity that saw Jay Stansfield depart for Birmingham and Reiss Nelson come in on loan, as well as the club’s sponsorship deal with IUX, which has been critiqued by investigative journalist Martin Calladine. Martin jumped on with our friends at Fulham Focus for a full interview, which they’ve kindly let us use a snippet of here, but to listen to the full podcast, which we thoroughly recommend, you can listen here.

Then it’s onwards to West Ham. We take a look at how the Hammers have started the season, as well as their new additions; before examining any changes Marco is likely to make ahead of this one. And finally, we finish with a couple of emails, a first This’ll Catch On for Emile Smith Rowe, and a chat about the Fulham Barclaysmen of yesteryear.
