Tottenham 2-1 Fulham- The look back
Tottenham 2-1 Fulham
That's two trips to North London in two weeks, and two narrow defeats. But we bounced back from Arsenal with a win, so Marco's boys will be immediately looking to Saturday against Chelsea.
The travelling Fulham Faithful finally checked the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and were treated to appearances from new boys Dan James, Willian, and Carlos Vinicius, but it wasn't enough.
Fulham were dealt a blow early on with an injury to Antonee Robinson, who was forced off. Spurs looked dangerous throughout and went ahead on 40 minutes through Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Only one down at the break, the Whites were much better in the second half, but could stop going two down thanks to Harry Kane.
The bright spot came in the final 10 minutes, when a pinpoint ball from Kenny Tete reached Mitro, who took the ball and guided it past the Spurs defence for his sixth goal of the season.
No points, then, but plenty to be cheerful about ahead of yet another London derby next week.
WHAT THEY SAID
▪️Marco Silva: Tottenham deserved three points, our first half was not good enough, we didn't get to our standards. On the ball we were not at our level, even without high pressure from Tottenham we took many wrong decisions on the ball first half.
▪️Antonee Robinson: Gutted to have to come off yesterday with an injury, hopefully its nothing too serious.
▪️Jack Kelly: Fulham didn’t let the game get away from them and dug in, but the first half mistake cost us. Still showing we’re capable at this level. Mitro 6 in 6 but ultimately, we fell short today. Positives to take.

Brighton turns into a bigger game than before. They've had a solid start - but we should be aiming for all three points.
