The Summer Round-Up - Issue 3
Twitter quips aside, TK is yet to deliver
We were probably all happy to take a break hitting refresh on Twitter and the official website to laugh at (or get outraged by) the Twitter tête-à -tête (no, not Kenny), between Tony Khan and Deliveroo this past week.
It stems from, of course, our tough season opener at home to Liverpool, as revealed in the 2022/23 Premier League fixtures, released on 16 June. To be the best you have to beat the best, but we all know that the way the 38 fixtures are arranged matters.
Our start is tough, but there are opportunities for points in there, and we could have a particularly bountiful October, should our confidence not be shredded from August and September.
But the back-and-forth doesn't mask the fact that TK is yet to bring us our first signing of the window. Though in fairness it doesn't seem to be from a lack of trying. The name Manor Solomon is becoming permanently burnt into the brains of the Fulham Faithful, as the saga for the Israeli international shows little sign of ending.
And it looks like Joao Palhinha will join Solomon in his rent-free accommodation in our craniums, as whispers abound that the Portuguese midfielder might snub Wolves for the Whites. Watch this space. And watch it, and watch it...
Here' the best of Fulham - and Fulhamish - from the last couple of weeks.
