Wolves 0-0 Fulham - The look back
Wolves 0-0 Fulham
A draw in football is a funny thing.
They vary so wildly. If the points shared last week felt like a win, Saturday left many feeling like it was a loss.
And that's not to say there weren't positives; a draw away from home in the Premier League is always credible, so on the whole you'd have to say we're actually a smidge ahead of expectations.
But it was Mitro's missed penalty that makes us wonder what could've been. The Fulham Premier League penalty peril strikes again.
There were chances at both ends; Wolves got a fair bit of joy down our left, with Rodak denying Neto and Hwang Hee-chan, while Neves cleared a goal-bound shot from De Cordova-Reid.
A horror mix-up from Tosin and Rodak in the first half would've given Wolves the lead on any other day, but we got lucky.
That puts Mitro's late miss, with just 10 minutes to go, into a bit more perspective. The Serb was clearly frustrated, as he got into a tussle with Gibbs-White late on, and was lucky to only receive a yellow.
It's now a case of analysing the result and getting ready for Brentford on Saturday. You can bet that the boys - and the Craven Cottage crowd - will be bang up for that one.
WHAT THEY SAID
▪️Marco Silva: It was a balanced game. They had their chances and we had ours as well. If we score the penalty, the game is different. But our team showed a great spirit.
▪️Antonee Robinson: Good clean sheet and a point away from home, thanks to the travelling fans as always.
▪Joe Samson: Poor game but a point I would have taken before kick-off. Shame we couldn’t nick it through the penalty, but good to see us as a defensively solid unit.
