I think that stating our current badge has got us recognised around the world is utter bull. The crest was adopted when we were promoted to the premier league. It became recognised because of the league we were in. Had the old crest been retained, that would have become recognised. You are also incorrect to state that we were one of the first to adopt a modern crest. A number of clubs had done so. In some cases, such us our neighbours up the road, they scraped the modern crest and went back to something more traditional.
I don’t mind a retro kit, never really liked green out-players kits though. They are goalie kits surly. but also just look crap being that the grass is green.
As for the logo, I love the new logo, Most graphic designers would say it a perfectly designed semiotical logo. This old logo is just the coat of arms of the borough. not particularly an identification of the club or the football. just the area in which the club played. Like it on a retro kit but no need to readopt it. The logo went though many designs over the years, I prefer the orig version that on the walls of craven cottage personally. But there no right of wrong in al this, its all just opinion.
Definitely get the old badge back ,it was iconic, colourful and represented Fulham, how boring the three ,FFC , LETTERS look on the SHIRTS NOW ,we have a classy stylish team now .Old badge yes please.
It's objectively a terrible badge for marketing the club in overseas markets. After moving here to Brisbane it became apparent that hardly anyone could decipher what club's shirt I was wearing. Simply: it doesn't say "Fulham", and for many people it doesn't even say "FFC" until someone points this out (at which point it becomes one of those "once seen you can't unsee it"). Even my son, who'd been dragged to Fulham since he was six months old, piped up at age 9 and said "Hey it says FFC!".
Go somewhere where the Premier League is not the dominant sport, and watch people squint at the badge trying to figure out what club it is. Almost everyone's badge says the club's name: really the only exceptions are Wolves (who have... a wolf) and Spurs (who are fucking idiots and get everything wrong anyway).
Whilst I’m in complete agreement, I think our current badge is great and no need to change. I was in Brazil recently wearing the home version of this kit and a local funnily enough knew that the shirt was Fulham’s even with the old badge. Maybe he was was just a football fanatic but a surprise nonetheless
The current crest looks like Microsoft SmartArt. It’s recognisable because it is hideous. The beautiful old crest on the other hand could use a brush up like we’ve seen other clubs do. Just don’t go saying that the current crest is a thing of beauty. I love this Club in spite of this awful monstrosity.
Based on the home shirt, I look forward to one more year of the current badge, and then swapping to a “ballistrae”/railing design. Combines style with something uniquely Fulham.

But his point is that if you return to the old badge, Fulham’s global recognition with its logo would be reduced
It hurts our recognition. It doesn't say "Fulham" and hence most of the people I encounter here in Australia simply can't figure out what club it is.

Bring the old badge back permanently.
Maybe the club just wants to distract the fans with a massive old badge/new badge debate so we don’t notice that we *still* haven’t signed anyone.

Oh shush, let a man dream, okay??
Utter bollox, I love the old badge
