I think Jedi looked very, very poor today. He was probably our worst player on the ball and Leeds targeted him again and again. I know Jedi is returning from injury - but if this what he's going to play like, maybe Sess *should* be starting and not at winger.
The issue in today's match was a poor game plan. As noted, the discombobulated offence ran contra to our play in the last several matches. Why change what is working - especially against a team with no teeth. Leeds only strength was their pack-like swarming of a high press. What was needed was a midfield breaking the lines. The only one doing that was Smith Rowe but then more often than not his only choice was backward. We know from last year that he struggles as a left winger. Carney improved things but ESR was knackered by then. And when Kevin came on there didn't seem to be any concerted effort to get the ball to him.
But egregious to all was the decision to give up 2 points and go to a back 5. Disastrous. 3 points lost.
Start Cairney. Start Kevin. I don't think you need a Ouija board. Oh well, the bronze Afcon boys will arrive back !
Berge not progressing the ball, and the avoidance of Kevin as an option stood out like the proverbial. Having said that some of Kevin's positioning wasn't as appealing as it should have been.

Agree Jamie.
