I was listening to a pundit that described Bournemouth’s recent success as being built on slow improvement over 10 years, I think Fulham should bear this in mind and perhaps understanding that avoiding relegation is always a target for a club like Fulham
The idea that the fans deserve an answer before the final game makes emotional sense, but for me the club's summer (and next season) need an answer even more.
The Newcastle game is a logical 'deadline' for having next year's manager signed or not - but if we blow through that signpost, what's to stop Ali Mac and TK from kicking the can down the road more and more? I can see the club execs thinking: Why not take one more run at re-signing Silva in a week or two once the furor of the season has cooled? Why not wait until the knock-out stage of the WC to try him again? Should we add even more $$$ and make one final offer?
It's not hard to imagine this process stretching out the whole summer, which stay or go, would cripple our ability to move on the signings we need to have a good 2026/27. It seems clear that the club execs would rather Silva stay - perhaps they're a bit scared of him, or maybe they know that picking a new manager is big decision that is very easy to wrong.*
The premise that Fulham (the club) needs clarity is just not true. The fans want clarity and Europe and early signings and Marco’s decision and and and. None of that’s needed. It would be nice and probably better, sure. Keep building. Build revenue so we can compete better. That probably means playing a younger side and selling our top young players. I am not at all sure fans would like that much either.
Clubs that sell young players tend to produce more. We just don’t have that production line - or the promise of first-team action that persuades them to stick around. More Josh Kings, please…
If he hasn't decided then switch the half time Clash music to Should I stay or should I go.

Sadly, I don't think there will be a answer before the Newcastle game.
