Fulham 1-2 Leeds United: The Lookback
Fulham 1-2 Leeds United
Well, that didn't go to plan.
A home defeat at this stage in the game against a mid-table side is far from ideal. What's worse is that we were second best against Leeds on Friday night. You just felt it wasn't going to be our night when Leeds had two goals chalked off in the first half an hour. But we couldn't stop Patrick Bamford putting them ahead on 29 minutes. When Andersen got his first goal for the Whites nine minutes later, we felt a second half rally might save proceedings, but those hopes were snuffed out on the hour as Raphinha restored the visitors' lead.
The setback was softened only the slightest bit by Newcastle's gubbing on the Saturday, keeping us within two points of the Magpies. When it's all said and done, we only have to leapfrog one side - and we know who we're targeting. As it stands, the final day showdown is still on. Until it's not, let's keep our heads up.
Sammy and Cam are joined by special guests Jack and Loz in our latest pod, so it's guaranteed to be infinitely more enjoyable than the 90 minutes you sat through on Friday.
WHAT THEY SAID
▪️ Scott Parker: The better team won. We couldn't cope with their intensity at times. We didn't want it to become a basketball match because that falls into Leeds' hands. We have to move on.
▪️ Harrison Reed: The greatest test of courage is to bear defeat without losing heart. We remain full of belief. We’ll recharge the batteries and get ready to go again!
▪️ Frankie Taylor: Dreadful performance. Not a good thing to say about anyone. What a waste of a Friday night.

Two weeks without Fulham now before a big game at Villa Park. There's only two horses left in this race, hopefully we can get our noses in front soon.
