Fulham 0-1 Wolves: The Lookback
Fulham 0-1 Wolves
Let's keep this short and sweet as I feel we're all a little bit fed up. That was a sucker punch. That was another missed opportunity. And, thanks to Newcastle's win at Burnley yesterday, that pushes us closer to the Premier League trap door.
We were lucky to go in level at the break on Friday night, with Wolves having a goal controversially chalked off thanks to VAR, which adjudged Podence's little finger to be offside. But rather than using the rub of the green to galvanise us in the second half, we continued to flounder; we struggled to take hold of the game and carve out any meaningful chances. And we were made to pay in stoppage time, when Adama Traore won the game for Wolves.
Truth be told, a point wouldn't have made much of a difference given Newcastle's win, but hell - it would've been better than that. Six games left; a six-point gap; 18 points to play for. The numbers are simple. The task? Not so much. But carry on we must. You Whites.
WHAT THEY SAID
▪️ Scott Parker: There's only one way we come back from this and that's come back fighting with your hands up, jabbing away. Never let anything sink us. I'm as low as the players tonight but I can guarantee you on Monday we'll be back in and I'll give everything.
▪️ Joachim Andersen: Tough one to take yesterday, but we can’t lose hope now. I understand we’re disappointed and we should be but these are the moments we stick together and show some balls. We need everyone more than anything now. Full of believe that we can do it. Doubters go home!!!
▪️ Cam Ramsey: Crushed. Nowhere near enough desire in this team, no kitchen sink, endeavour, just tears of anguish because they simply aren’t trying. Wolves got the win they deserved, Fulham left devastated, defeated, another opportunity to climb out of the bottom three, snubbed at.

It feels bleak right now, no hiding from that. All is not 100% lost, but we need a transformation quickly if we are to have any hope of catching Newcastle.
