All a bit underwhelming if I'm honest. Do we really expect McKenna to make waves? At best he'll have us as plucky PL underdogs (i.e. a level below respectable mid-table). Ange just isn't that good of a manager, people are blinded by the PR, but his record is absolutely modest at best (that Europa League win was massively tin-pot and not worth a bean). Frank is boring, Lampard is Chelsea through and through and also not good enough. Liam Rosenior has barely got his genuine managerial career going, it's no time to expriment. As a player, would I feel particularly inspired by any of these guys? Not really. It's a choice between Championship managers or chaos merchants. I am worried...
Glasner. Pochettino. Or maybe think outside the box a bit like Brentford did. All the talk has been about who can take Fulham to the 'next level'. I wouldn't bet serious money on any of the 5 listed above to do that.
Glasner should be first choice then Frank..no one else..and Tony khan must step down..he guaranteed Marco to stay so he was completely wrong and must stand down.just because he is a son of shouldn’t give him a role.
How about grabbing someone from the cradle of brilliant managers, Northern Spain. Look at the top teams in the Segunda division. The guy at Racing Santander?
Is it reasonable to worry about McKenna’s ability to scout and attract new talent to the squad? Them spending 132 million and getting relegated on 22 point doesn’t exactly give me confidence?
Or is the calculation that his player development abilities will be more important, since we’ve already got Kevin, King, Bobb, Muniz…
Speaking to a Hull supporter about Rosenior and he described him as defensively solid. Hardly a ringing endorsement, and I'm not sure many Chelsea fans would agree with it either! How much of Frank's success was down to Andrews? No to Ange. Don't think Glasner would be interested. That seems to leave McKenna or someone from left-field.
