Chelsea 0-0 Fulham - The look back
Four points off those lot - and we stopped our little losing streak from growing. A decent night's work.
All that money spent and it was a right-back worth £3m who stole the show.
This hard-earned draw at Stamford Bridge means in 2022/23, Fulham remained unbeaten against their free-spending neighbours. And, crucially, we stopped any potential rot that might be setting in following two losses on the trot.
We may have ceded the lion’s share of possession, but we registered more shot on target than our hosts, and frustrated Potters Blues with a disciplined performance, led by Kenny Tete, who completed his best-ever FFC outing, keeping Chelsea’s multi-million boys quiet.
The point moved us (briefly) back up to sixth in the table, but one thing can’t be denied: Fulham are pushovers no more. Onto the next one. You Whites.
What they said
Marco Silva: It was a proper derby. We knew before the match it would be difficult to come here. We understood perfectly the strategy to the match. That ambition, that desire, that togetherness, that quality in some moments. We went eye to eye with Chelsea in a derby that's really special for our fans. They did it. I'm so proud of them.
Antonee Robinson: Lots of fight last night! Proud of the team… that away end though!
Dom Betts: I would personally like Mykhailo Mudryk to come outside and apologise for wasting Kenny Tete's evening.
