Arsenal 2-1 Fulham- The look back
Arsenal 2-1 Fulham
We'll suffer losses this season - that much is certain. But as long as we go down fighting and give a good account of ourselves, I don't think we can have too many complaints.
That was certainly the case on Saturday at the Emirates. We ultimately fell to a Gabriel tap-in with less than five minutes normal time left, but that wasn't the whole story.
The Whites frustrated Arsenal for the first hour, and we went ahead through Mitrovic on 56 minutes; the Serb robbed Gabriel on the edge of the box and slotted home past Ramsdale in the Arsenal goal.
Unfortunately that lead lasted all of 10 minutes, as Gunners captain Ødegaard scored a deflected effort to equalise, before Gabriel atoned for his earlier mistake.
We leave North London with our heads held high - we'll not be beaten easily in this league. Not this time. We have a chance to put things right under the Cottage lights on Tuesday.
WHAT THEY SAID
▪️Marco Silva: My players deserved much more from the game, definitely. The bad luck we had with the two goals we conceded I hope it come soon for them because we deserve everything we didn't get from this game.
▪️Neesken Kebano: A bad week to forget... Thank you to our many fans who came yesterday and congratulations to Mitro on its 100th. See you on Tuesday!
▪️Peter Rutzler: Worth noting too that this is a Fulham team with injury problems in wide areas and massively lacking attacking depth on the bench. Still holding and more than competing with the league's best sides..

Brighton turns into a bigger game than before. They've had a solid start - but we should be aiming for all three points.
