As far as I remember we flew the flags of the teams in the old first division. When we got relegated a bullish/cocky Tommy Trinder said we wouldn't bother to get flags for the second division as we would be straight back up. Good job we didn't, as next season we got relegated again to the third.

I met a gentleman at Alex (the traveller) funeral and in talking all things Fulham he told me of his involvement in the build up to the game, he said I’m surprised you don’t recognise me, I apologised and said no I don’t , and he replied I am Sir Craven, I said well how the bloody hell would I recognise you !! He then came out with an absolute pearl and said, never thought about that !!!
