Podcast: Muniz for Nothing

19th February 2024

Losing 2-1 to a team who were in title contention until a few weeks ago shouldn’t be the end of the world, but the frustrations of Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa at the Cottage were obvious to us all. Shooting ourselves in the foot in the first half, a lack of clinicality in the second, and a poor Premier League officiating debut for Lewis Smith all added to the sense of ‘what if’ that set in as the final whistle blew.

We take a look back at how the game played out, address the frustrations, and do our best to find some positives in the malaise – even with our Portuguese midfield colossus picking himself up a two-game suspension in the process.

02:20 – Thoughts on the officiating

11:27 – Recap of the match action

31:47 – How do we cope without JP?
