Just as things started to go our way, we crashed back down to reality with a bump. Newcastle seemed there for the taking: ravished by injuries and fatigued from a gruelling Champions League-laden fixture schedule. Fulham, on the other hand were free scoring and boosted by the return to form of our Mexican striker Raúl Jimiénez. However, after deciding to leap like a salmon and nearly knock Longstaff out cold with his backside, Raúl earned a red after 30 minutes, and it was curtains. We look back on the afternoon on Tyneside, answer some of your questions, and look ahead to our Carabao Cup quarter final against Everton on Tuesday night.
