Good article though I’m not as worried about TK not growing up loving football. You have to really understand how hard it was in the States to get even Premier League coverage until the late 90s. There was nothing other than the Champions league and even it was crammed into mid afternoon slots as filler.
Prem coverage was basically a 3 hr show syndicated ln a regional sports cable channel that I frankly picked up after my first couple of trips to London and there was little else on when I got home in High School.
So understanding that it’s not surprising that someone like TK didn’t grow up loving football as most from our generation didn’t pick it up until later.
