I suppose I agree with Jack that, if he’s not asking to go and the price isn’t right, there’s no need to ship him out. But in those moments we’re chasing, I prefer the idea ESR playing the 8 as his dribbling and creativity add a different dynamic to our attack (especially alongside King or Wilson).
AP’s wasteful decisions as an 8 were maddening to me. Notwithstanding, his work rate and endeavor for the badge (or perhaps the standard he set for himself) cannot be overlooked. I’m very grateful for his contributions to our club. I wish him the very best
