The hope is back! Great report. I listened to the AI recording today on my way back and it is excellent, very clear and understandable, showing how well written your pieces are. Some interesting name changes (Chuckwheezy for one) made it fun. I thought Castagne had a great game and overall there were a number of very good performances. Lukic and Begre partnership was back to its best. With some better finishing (and a ref who didn't penalise us for the type of foul committed on Leno in every match) we could have won that 4-0. Really pleased Lukic and Berge looked so good yesterday. It's a shame Iwobi's injured because he'd have been very good around the pitch piecing our passing sequences together as well - not to mention the usefulness of having a player as talented as him to switch for one of them when they start to tire!
Reckon we need a fully fit set of forwards before we start scoring 4 goals again but it's nice to see us actually look like a competent attack again. Tough game against Arsenal next but if we start like we did in this game we'll really be able to make them sweat!
Give Sess a longer contract and play him in a more advanced position and he will get us more goals we don’t want to lose him on a free when the 1 year contract he has, get wise TK.
They worked their butts off for this one, tracking back and getting to loose balls, against a tired looking Villa. And got lucky that Villa couldn't find the net a few times from great chances. I think Raul, at 35, after a long season, still leads by example, when rested. Marco looks smart to limit him to 60 minutes, with the next game in mind. Impressive team effort, with Kevin and Tete out.

I love Iwobi's contribution but Fulham looked much better yesterday and I did wonder if that was because Iwobi was not playing! A difficult thought!

Wise words! Though that would mean actually signing another left-back, seeing as Sess has been covering for Robinson for two seasons now...
