The BlueCo job is (to borrow from Bill Shankley - I think) a 'poison chalice without the chalice'. Still, I suppose he'll get a nice big golden handshake after a few months/weeks.

Haha my thoughts exactly. That'll be the easiest £24M Liam will ever make!

I think there's no doubt Silva would take the Chelsea job if he was offered it. By the time all the dust has settled and August arrives, I have a feeling Eddie Howe may be our new gaffer.

Good stuff but a tad harsh inclusion of Dempsey. That episode shouldn't be held against him. Martin Jol and Clint did not appear to get along. I'd blame Jol for contributing to Deuce wanting to leave more than anybody would like to admit. Turbulent times

It was harsh, but worth including I feel. To clarify; love Dempsey, always will.

No manager is bigger than the club he manages if he goes to the scum it will only be for a short while we know the scum from old they don’t hold there managers for very long and better managers than silva have had there turn cut short after success at the end of the day there is always another manager waiting to take over COYW

I agree. I think he'd be mad to go! Hope he stays, but think we'll be fine either way.

To be very honest I’ve been going since 1960 I’ve seen the good times the bad times the very bad times and the great times . This season has been some of the most boring football I’ve witnessed at the cottage I think personally that silva has taken us to he’s max as a football club we need new ideas that can take us to the next step and playing with one forward works with the right player which we haven’t had since mitro so me thinks a change could be in our best interests COYW

Gordon Davies did it. Different times, or OK because he came back on a redemption arc?

I think the redemption arc counts for something, shows he saw the error of his ways
