When Canada's 2 centrebacks sustained lengthy injury time, Luc De Fougerolles performed admirable for a 20 year old at the World Cup. His aerial game is most impressive, as is, his instinct to start quick transition from either an interception or tackle. Arbeloa's high pressure tactics need centrebacks to have reflexes to support - not just a covering ability. Luc De Fougerolles has those innate qualities to match his reknown communicative skills, too. Fulham's future homegrown leader ! IMO.

He was fantastic for Canada, every time he didn't feature they've missed him - and hasn't necessarily been just the World Cup either, it's been like that for a couple of seasons now.

I like the Idea but I don think the armband should be given to someone in the squad with more experience.
Also I think Josh King also has the maturity and leadership quality to be a captain in the future.

He needs a good run in the first team, he has the ability to make himself first choice. Captain in the long term definitely.
Would love to see him break into the first team this season. Wonder if Andersen's legs might have gone slightly, and that LDF could step in.
