Fulhamish's 2025/26 preview
Europe? Mid-table? The drop? We get everyone's views on how the upcoming campaign will shake out.
Ahead of our 2025/26 curtain-raiser this weekend, we got the team to pul
l out their crystal balls (steady), to see how the upcoming campaign will go for the Whites.
Sammy James
I mostly think we’ll be OK, but a lot rests on the Rodrigo Muniz situation. I really think that stability will pay dividends, as will not having European football while many of our rivals do. I think we’ll go deep in a cup competition and finish mid-table again, which seems to be a staple of how things have gone under Marco Silva in recent years - and I’ll gladly take it again.
Final position: 10th
Player of the season: Harry Wilson. I just feel like it’s his year.
Top scorer: Rodrigo Muniz (if he stays)
Best result: A win at Turf Moor - all the curses will be officially broken
Most left-field Fulham prediction: I said it on the podcast, we’re going to break that trophy drought and win the Carabao Cup. Manifestation.
Jack Collins
I understand Fulham’s desire to move at the end of the market to cajole other PL clubs into better sale prices, but it deeply frustrates me that we don’t seem to want to shop elsewhere. I think we will be alright, but opportunities have slipped through our fingers again, and when we should be talking about building from last year, I’m more concerned about regression - that won’t please Marco. We’re desperately in need of some explosivity on the wings and some creativity in the deeper midfield positions. If those holes are fixed, then things will be grand. Top 10 at Christmas, but more second-half regression sees us slip into the bottom half, and sadly I think Marco walks at the end of the campaign.
Final position: 12th
Player of the season: Josh King. I reckon he’s locked down his spot by Christmas and starts almost every game from then on.
Top scorer: If Rodrigo Muniz stays then him, but as that looks unlikely right now, let’s go Harry Wilson (double figures).
Best result: I can see us taking points off Liverpool again, potentially both home and away. And because we haven’t done it yet, let’s throw in a win at the new Spurs Stadium for posterity.
Most left-field Fulham prediction: We score 10+ goals from set pieces after being absolutely atrocious at them last season. That won’t have gone unnoticed.
George Cooper
We’ll start the season well, capitalising on our undisturbed squad’s unity, achieve safety in and around January, then we’ll peter out due to lack of squad depth. A solid, yet underwhelming, mid-table effort in the league. However, I do think we’ll reach a cup semi-final. Ultimately, I think this season will be Marco’s last with the club.
Final position: 13th
Player of the season: Josh King
Top scorer: Alex Iwobi
Best result: Another double over Brentford
Most left-field Fulham prediction: At the end of the season the Khans will sell to an ownership group led by Danny DeVito.
Dan Cooke
I’m sensing a season of deja-vu. Same players, same manager, same system, probably similar ultimate outcomes. Continuity and familiarity is not a bad thing but when it inevitably takes any new signings two months to bed in, we’ll be having the same conversations all over again. I’m hopeful that we finally get prime Harry Wilson and that Josh King can bring some much needed spark.
Final position: 12th
Player of the season: Harry Wilson
Top scorer: Harry Wilson
Best result: Beat Man City at Craven Cottage
Most left-field Fulham prediction: Jorge Cuenca steps up during AFCON and Fulham remain undefeated until their stars return.
Elizabeth Barnard
Our lack of transfer business this summer does concern me. We know how important a preseason is to give players time to get used to the system. Having said that, it’s impossible not to be hopeful about a season with Marco Silva at the helm (even if it may be his last) - and maybe, just maybe, this is the year we make it to Wembley.
Final position: 9th
Player of the season: Ryan Sessegnon
Top scorer: Raul Jimenez
Best result: Beating Chelsea at home in January in the game that gets Enzo Maresca sacked.
Most left-field Fulham prediction: Fulham finish above Manchester City
Drew Heatley
In my desperation to find any solace I can in the fact we’ve done no transfer business, I think I’ve convinced myself that we might be in for a solid season with a team that knows each other inside and out. But solid isn’t exactly inspiring, and our finish won’t be either. But, as always, there’ll be many moments to enjoy among the way. I’m convinced it’s Marco Silva’s swansong, so we have to savour every minute.
Final position: 11th
Player of the season: Sander Berge
Top scorer: Rodrigo Muniz (transfer depending)
Best result: Beating Arsenal at the Emirates
Most left-field Fulham prediction: Silva’s departure is announced in March and Jose Mourinho is revealed as his successor, looming in the stands for the final two months of the campaign.
Jack Kelly
Amid all the panic, and lack of transfers, I still think Fulham will go well. We have a good squad, but not a great squad - which makes me think they’ll be a bit of a drop off. But with Marco Silva (hopefully) still at the helm, I still expect at least a solid Premier League campaign.
Final position: 12th
Player of the season: ESR
Top scorer: ESR
Best result: Manchester City 1-2 Fulham
Most left-field Fulham prediction: ESR 10+ goals and 10+ assists
Joe Sansom
Despite my pessimism about our transfer business (or lack of), I still back this great manager and squad to perform well and secure another mid-table finish. I do think a big push before the end of the window could see us do even better though…
Final position: 12th
Player of the season: Josh King
Top scorer: ESR
Best result: An unexpected win at a top six side
Most left-field Fulham prediction: Our home form will be up there with the best in the league.
Cam Ramsey
We’ve retained key members and have buttoned down future stars. Without too many changes to the dressing room, I believe we’ll remain a steady, competitive side and hopefully, we’ll have learnt how to be more ruthless in winning positions. Silva will surely want to progress in cup competitions, so could a trip to Wembley become a reality? Surely, that has to be a primary objective.
Final position: 10th
Player of the season: Ryan Sessegnon
Top scorer: Raul Jimenez
Best result: Scalping Chelsea 3-0 at the Bridge
Most left-field Fulham prediction: we’ll break our all-time Premier League points record again and still finish outside the European spots.
Ben Jarman
We’re too good to go down, not good enough to progress to the European spots. The teams around us (Palace aside), have invested well and continue to integrate new faces early. United and Spurs will bounce back too.
Final position: 12th.
Player of the season: Joachim Andersen. Maybe a rogue shout, especially after his poor form in patches last year. But, I don't think we should underestimate how good he is on the ball, and how many defensive contributions he makes under the radar.
Top scorer: Rodrigo Muniz, I think this is a breakout year for the Brazilian. If this says [redacted] the person in question now lives in Bergamo.
Best result: Beating any of the Top 6.
Most left-field Fulham prediction: Fulham are sold in 2026 to either a private equity fund from the US or a middle-eastern family.
