A few more nominations:
Bryan Ruiz. I remember the hopes around him were so high, and he never looked like the goal scorer we were promised. PL in that era wasn’t the right place for him.
Andy Johnson. Maybe he falls in the “don’t sign injured players” category? But yeah he never ever delivered on the Crystal Palace promise.
David Healy. Not that he was expensive, but he was certainly a flop, and indicative of Lawrie Sanchez’s inane transfer strategy.
Scott Parker. Of course as a player he was fine, but it set him up to become our manager a few years later—his refusal to play Mitro after getting us promoted, and then blaming the team for our relegation makes him my least favorite Fulham manager, besides Magath.
