Fulham 5-0 West Ham United - The look back
What a crazy five days. The Whites scored another five at home without reply to move into the top half of the table.
Wow. Just… wow.
Just 10 goals in our first 12 games. And now 16 in our last four. Not to mention our second - yes, second - 5-0 win in just five days. The Fulham boys have had their Weetabix.
No one would’ve imagined that West Ham, fresh off a 2-1 win against Spurs, would be smashed like Forest were on Wednesday. But that’s exactly what happened. Jimenez continued his revival when he opened the scoring just after 20 minutes. The Mexican nodded in a superb ball from Joao Palhinha.
It was two less than 10 minutes later, thanks to Willian, and Tosin marked his recent return to the XI with another headed goal to make it three at the break. No one could quite believe what they were seeing - despite seeing it just days earlier.
Harry Wilson came on for Willian at the break, and continued to show why Silva can’t ignore him. He scored the pick of the bunch with a left-footed curler from the edge of the box. And he turned provider for our fifth; through on goal, he unselfishly squared the ball to fellow sub Vinicius, who couldn’t miss.
We’re now the team everyone’s talking about, with goals from anywhere across our outfield 10. It’s Marco’s vision, coming to life once more. We have no fear, and nor should we. We’re top half once again - can we stay there? Not many would bet against it on this form. You Whites.
What they said
Marco Silva: The players understood the plan. They executed it really well. The main thing is the three points. Keeping a second clean sheet in a row is important. To control a team like West Ham in the way we did was almost perfect, congratulations to the players.
Tom Cairney: 300. Always an honour putting on the shirt and I’ll never take it for granted!! But we ain’t done yet.
Drew Heatley: We will forever look back on this weird five-day period fondly. Pogrebnyak-style purple patch from the lads.

When we looked at this December run, this one stood out like a sore thumb. But now we go to Newcastle full of confidence. Why would we fear them?
