Fulham 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur - the look back
It's another special day at the Cottage as the Whites swot Spurs aside.
That was another memorable day in what is fast becoming a memorable season
Spurs arrived at the Cottage gunning for a Champions League spot and left licking a multitude of wounds thanks to brace from Rodrigo Muniz and a goal from a reborn SaÅ¡a Lukić.Â
It was a near-complete performance with memorable shifts from so many, including Antonee Robinson, who set Muniz up for the opener in the dying minutes of the first half.Â
Lukić made it two after the break with a clever if fortuitous flick before Muniz bagged his second of the afternoon - and seventh in seven games. He picked up a knock for his troubles, replaced by Raul Jimenez, but with a short break before our next game hopefully he’ll be right as rain for our trip to Bramall Lane.Â
We hadn’t beat Spurs at home in more than 15 years, but this Silva side just doesn’t read the script. Three more points - just five points off seventh and players finding form at the perfect time. At this point, who knows where this season may lead?Â
What they said
Marco Silva: Great win for us, and well deserved too. We were the best team on the pitch and deserved the three points against a really good side, playing through the pressure sometimes in behind them.
Antonee Robinson: We've had our moments this season, and that's going to be up there. To do it in the way that we did, and to keep a clean sheet, means it's right up there for me.
Jack Kelly: Fulham bullied Spurs, and it was magnificent! Muniz, an absolute machine up top, and Fulham ran Tottenham ragged. Great football, clinical and an absolute joy to watch! Just an incredible time to be a Fulham fan, Marco Silva is a genius, & we are Fulham.
