Fulham 1-1 Crystal Palace - the look back
The draw that everyone saw coming and that no one minded.
The bookies must’ve lost a tonne on this one. It had 1-1 written all over it since the fixture list came out in June.
The positives? Another goal for Muniz, who continues to show that flash in the pan he most certainly is not.
The negatives? It was a terrible start. We do look like Beach FC at times. You can’t do much about Palace’s equaliser; Schlupp will never hit one cleaner.
It’s the West London derby next at the Meccano. If we’re to win just one more game this term, please let it be this one. You Whites.
What they said
Marco Silva: In the first half, it is clear that we were second best in almost everything. It was difficult for us, except in the last 10 or 15 minutes. The second half was completely different. The way we started, we were more aggressive on the ball and off the ball, much more bravery to find the gaps that we want to find and we scored the goal because of that, and we were on the front foot in some moments.
Andreas Pereira: It wasn’t our best performance at home. In the first half we suffered a lot and didn’t star the way we wanted. The second half was much better.
Jack Stroudley: If people weren’t convinced before that Fulham were on the beach, I think after Saturday’s game they have to be. A 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace leaves Marco Silva’s side with just one win from their last six games.
