Podcast: Couldn’t Be ARS’d

3rd April 2025

Fulham have not got a great history against Arsenal at the Emirates, never having won there, but it was a game that added insult to injury. After a dire weekend for Fulham in the FA Cup, there was hope that the team could allow us to half forget our woes but Saka’s inevitable narrative turned up to sour them again.

Jack Collins and Elizabeth Barnard take a look back at Fulham’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the week. They dissect Silva’s decision to revert to five at the back, bringing Cuenca back into the starting line-up. Was this decision mainly made in order to rest tired players in Bassey and Iwobi or did it risk Fulham’s result too much? A huge miss from Muniz meant that a short come-back in the second half remained unfruitful. The debate for Raul or Rodrigo to start remains in place for the game against Liverpool.

In part two, they look forward to Liverpool, discussing how the team should set-up in order to put in a performance to at least test the league leaders, and they answer some of your listener questions. Why are Fulham still holding on to Reiss Nelson whilst he’s injured? Which younger players around Europe should Fulham be looking to sign in the future? “””
