Podcast: The Lucas Piazon Interview

5th July 2018

Not many people have ever made so much of an impression on a club whilst on loan as Lucas Piazon had on Fulham fans. Coming into the Cottage on deadline day in August 2016, no-one knew quite what an impact the Brazilian would have – not only on the pitch, but in terms of endearing himself to the fanbase as well.

We went over to Lucas’ place to talk all things Fulham, covering everything from the perfect day at Wembley, Slavisa’s training styles, how he felt he had fitted in at the club and rolled through the Piazon-Fulham love story from its tender beginnings through to where we are today.

There’s plenty of chat about his relationships with the other players at the club, how his time abroad helped to forge his playing style and where the two-way acrimony with Reading FC comes from, as well as gathering his thoughts on Chelsea’s loan system, his childhood in Sao Paolo and ask whether either football or Lucas is coming home (to Brazil or Fulham respectively).
